I started and erased this DevLog many times.
As a game dev who wants to document the process of making the game (to shed a nostalgic tear over it years later 🥲), I want to describe all that has been happening over the last couple of months. As a freelancer, I want to give a concise statement and get on with the work.
As you likely don’t know (we never properly announced it here), Deathwish Bloom is one of the 8 IndieDev 2025 all-Ireland projects selected to receive a structured industry talks program, one-on-one mentorship and a prototype fund to develop a promising game idea. Deathwish Bloom has only ever been our promise to ourselves, until now. And now that Northern Ireland Screen, Screen Ireland, Ardán and IMIRT put their trust in us, we owe to put most of our energy into developing the promised prototype.
As a result of our mentorship chats, we decided to upload a playable prototype on itch.io way before the polished Deathwish Bloom Demo is ready.
We will soon (late this year? early next year? what is time?😳) invite you to play the rough prototype yourself - just to see whether it’s fun for you and whether you want to see more of DWB world , and if not - what are the bits we can make better.
On this note, enjoy the autumn 🍂🍁 and we’ll see you late November! 🙂↕️
