Dear reader of obscure DevLogs,
a quick update on what's happening in the Sharp Glass Games universe.
With all game-related events planned for 2026 completed, I peacefully settled into illustrating the updated Deathwish Bloom opening scene. It’s been a joy to draw in public parks and enjoy chocolate banana ice in the sun.
But…
I accidentally girlbossed, and got hired to illustrate another company’s visual novel. It’s brief, atmospheric, sweet and romantic, and it involves a dozen physical hand-drawn charcoal artworks. Being a traditionally trained artist who loves getting her fingers covered in paint and graphite, how could I say no? It’s planned to release this summer - yaoi slow burn lovers, get ready!
What does this mean for Deathwish Bloom? A rough guess - a 3-week development delay but also extra funding for all music and artwork for the Demo. After almost a year of non-stop learning, drawing, programming, networking, presenting, and promoting, I am in a good place to design a schedule to base a sustainable long-term game development on. Balancing occasional art gigs and - finally! - some holidays is this year’s task. Sorry, my ice cream is melting; better get back to it.
Have a great July! 🌸 🐁 🥰
